An enjoyable meal. Freindly staff and fresh, well portioned meals. I had the snapper and chips. Fish was well cooked and seasoned, with a lovely sweetness. Batter light, golden and crunchy. Chips, well seasoned, nice and crunchy.
LOVE The Barra Boys!! I missed them while they had their annual (well deserved) break. Open today and I went it this evening to say hello to Stace and get some fresh prawns to make a pizza. The freshest and the best! Never had a bad meal here and love supporting locals. THEY ALSO DO THE BEST PRAWN CUTLETS IN BRISBANE!! Thanks for all the deliciousness Barra Boys!
My wife and I went for lunch and had crumbled schnapper, chips and calamari everything was freshly cooked and just night for my taste: juicy fish, tender calamari and perfect chips. My new fish and chips go to place. I went back today for grilled snapper and chips. Perfectly grilled fish and the chips were sensational. A place with a big turnover can have really hot oil for chips that are crisp outside and soft inside.
Top notch fish and chips done right. Licensed and a great selection of cold drinks to complement the fresh seafood cooked to your specifications. Top chips and fresh salads too. A cut above the corner store fisho but won't break the bank. Do yourself a favour and grab some barra from The Barra Boys!
Super fresh fish and super crispy batter. Good sized portions not at all greasy just so delicious and super nice staff. Also the rice pudding was very good too.
My husband bought me fish and chips for two home today and I can honestly say it was the BEST and FRESHEST takeaway I’ve had in a very long time ! Generous serving, served by Virginia, who was very friendly and accommodating. Fish n Chips for 2 , do yourself a huge favour and you will not be disappointed. 10⭐️
Amazing fish and chips that is probably the nicest we had in Brisbane this far . They freshly fry their chips and fish which were tasty and delicious . Had the tackle box for one and loved the assortment that it came with , including scallops , prawn , calamari and a nice tartare sauce with lemon on the side . Highly recommend
We've been looking for a decent fish & chip shop since arriving from NZ in Dec 2024. Finally found one. The fish was perfectly cooked with the best batter. Fish was covered with a thin but crispy layer of batter. Absolutely delicious. Recommend to all especially kiwi's
Great fish and chips restaurant which is locally owned. Very popular with locals for pickup. A good selection of fish available. Food was excellent and reasonably priced for the portion size. Served fresh, hot and great presentation. Lots of outside seating available with a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
